WHAT!!!

So I was thinking that I was going to take a picture of Melody with a cotton ball in her ear. BUT...

Then the black eye happen. I swear our insurance company is loving us. Let me just re-cap!

About 6 weeks ago I came down with 5th Disease. Like everyone I'm sure you are a saying What the heck is that. I guess its kind of like chicken pops.{ I know pox, but since I was little that is what I called it}It's a Parvo Virus. In children it's really no big deal. They may run a small fever then they show up with a rash on their face several days later. By the time they have the rash they are not contagious SO in the meantime they are spreading the virus for several days. If you look close in the picture of Melody and Nana in the hotel {the pear post}you can see Melody's rosey rashy face. Melody was fine...BUT...

Because I am prego having the 5th disease can be very bad to unborn babies. The virus attacks the bone marrow and cause extreme anemia. The risk is higher for those that are 20 weeks and under. Thank God that that I was around 25 weeks and so far so good, Luke has not been effected.

I was referred to a perinatal specialist and have to have weekly sonograms. We have had 4 so far that show healthy non-effected Luke. Please pray for continuing healthy appointments.

OK OK back to the ear...

Melody had a low grade fever off and on the last couple of days, but she NEVER slowed down so I never thought anything was wrong [like having the 5th dz]. When she woke up on Sunday she said her ear hurt. She only said it twice, Josh said we are taking her to Acute Kids[which is a FABULOUS urgent care for kids] now! Josh had several ear infection growing up. I was like what,no biggie let me give her a little Tylenol. We had to wait a while for the the place to open. Once again Melody was bouncing off the walls like nothing was wrong but we took her. Sure enough the doctor came in looked in her ear and said she had a middle ear infection...then the prego hormones kicked in..I cried.

Then the eye. Melody was playing with daddy out side. She pushed her swing. It came back and hit her above her eye. Poor thing...

First ear infection and first black eye within days of each other.

Does anyone have a bubble we can put Melody in until shes about 20?
