Nastia Liukin

Nastia Liukin was at the mall today in Plano so off we went. Josh and I loved watching the Olympics this year especially the girls gymnastics. We were very proud of the girls that represented the United States. Here is the kiddo's in line. We waited 3hours! The kids were wonderful, I took them to the play area about half way into the wait.Right before we got to meet her Melody said I have to go potty! We told her if she could hold it we would give her candy, that worked.
We heard that Nastia was going to leave right at 4o'clock and there might be a chance that we may not be able to see her, yeah after 2 1/2 hours of waiting I was like "WHAT". So Josh took this paparazzi shot here. Here is our 3 seconds with Nastia. Only the very top of Melody's head made it, Josh was star struck.
On the way out we ran into Nastia's dad. His line was like a 2 minute line.
It was a fun 3 hour wait, 3 seconds"Great Job Nastia" Day! I know Melody didn't quite understand the whole excitement...one day...

Melody's Birthday 8/6

Birthdays are so much fun. Melody's day started off with opening a gift from mom and dad. She got an Ariel purse to carry to her favorite place, the candy store at the mall. She went to the mall then came home and cooked what she wanted for dinner....steak, potatoes and green beans. After dinner we opened the family gifts. Grandma and Grandpa got her these cool puppets, and 4 dollars. She was excited to get money. Aunt Janna got her a Dora art set and phone. Melody has been learning to trace shapes, she loves it. Nana got her a new princess Barbie and an V-tec. It was a full filled day!

The Gnome

For Father's Day, I took Melody to the store to buy her daddy something. She picked out this Gnome. It was too funny. Josh thought it was the funniest thing. Josh has the Gnome in his closet,as a door stopper!

Little Drummer Boy

Luke is loving the drums. When daddy starts playing he comes a crawling. Melody dances around the pool table and Luke tries to help daddy with the foot peddle. Luke enjoys setting on Josh's lap, but he bounces so much...Josh had the idea of putting his highchair up to the drums. Luke had a blast. It was super cute to watch him.

Shear Genius

Well the day came when Melody used the scissors to cut her hair. About 3 months ago I got Melody her own pair of scissors. She has been cutting letters and shapes and gluing it to pieces of paper. I thought it was a good idea until...

She made about 3 good cuts. She at least didn't go to short. Her Cousin Christopher told Nana ,"Melody is cutting her hair." This all happened while I was at the post office. When I got home mom and Melody were both crying...I knew this day was coming. I love her long hair so I was a little upset. I was going to cut it up to her shoulders to fix it, but daddy and I decided long layers would work.
