What a wonderful holiday. We have SO much to be thankful for! Josh's ma and pa came from California. It was a wonderful visit. David and Monica came with the kids, Jack and Christopher. Then there was Mom, Josh,Luke, Melody and me. Josh made a top to put on the pool table so we could have a BIG table. It worked out great. Here is all the party people.
The table was a little high for Melody.
Here are the wild Indians that hunted down the wild turkey.
The Turkey survivied.
Melody helped stuffed the turkey. What cuties.
Josh bought a turkey fryer. He though it would be fun to fry the turkey dinner. We decided that I would do the big turkey and he would try the fryer on a smaller turkey. First we bought the fryer at Target for $40. The next time I went to Walmart I saw the the peanut oil was $25. So far with the turkey this thing was going to cost us $75. Then I saw an ad in the Target advertisement where I thought it said there was the same fryer plus the peanut oil and injector and injection juice for $30. Josh returned the first fryer, when to the self and discovered the fryer was on sell for $30 but the package of supplies was another $30. Now the price of turkey is $70, saved $5. When Josh got home to put the fryer together we found out that you need a propane tank..another $30! Since it was Thanksgiving eve, we called our good friends, Kim and Jarrod, thankfully we were able to borrow there tank.
